Canada continue their unshaken form defeating Japan to lead the stay at the top of the group. Elsewhere France and Australia both managed 15-point victories against Mali and Serbia respectively.

The North American side of Group B completed their third victory out of three matches at the expense of Japan. Bridget Carleton shone with 16 points, four rebounds and an assist in a clash that ended with 70-56 score as they remain the only team of the group to be undefeated. They continue to, indirectly, challenge Group A's China and USA for the chances' majority to lift the trophy. The Americans are the other side of the competition to win all three of their contests.

The two other matches came from the same group and included France's victory over Mali to keep the pressure on the Canadians as they quickly follow them in the rankings. They managed a 74-59 score to edge off Sika Kone's Mali. The youngster managed the most points of the contest with 14 but it was from enough to challenge the winners.

Finally, the hosts in Australia did not shy from making the most out of that home ground advantage. Once again showing that they are here with a fighting chance as they equal the French's form record. Brushing off Serbia through a 69-54 result.
