Tennis Tracker: Van Assche to face Djokovic at Banja Luka as Vekic progresses in Germany

Andrey Rublev (25) managed to come from behind to defeat Holger Rune (19) and lift the Monter Carlo trophy on Sunday, making him a Master's champion finally. The action didn't stop there, though, as more clay tournaments began on Monday. Here on the Tennis Tracker, we will be providing you will all the news, key results and highlights throughout the week.

23:48 CET - Novak Djokovic (35) is due to meet Luca van Assche (18) in the second round of the ATP event in Banja Luka on Wednesday but he is still suffering from some minor issues with his elbow.

"The elbow is not in ideal condition, but let's say it's good enough. Hopefully, it will be fully ready for the first match," he said on Monday.

20:59 CET - Croatia's Donna Vekic (26) has moved into the second round at the WTA indoor event in Stuttgart by beating Ekaterina Alexandrova (28) in a close match. Both sets were decided by tiebreaks and it finished 7-6(9-7), 7-6(7-5).

16:33 CET - Despite a strong start, veteran Stan Wawrinka (38) was sent out at the first round of the ATP Srpska Open in Banja Luka by French rising star Luca van Assche (18). The match ended 1-6, 7-6(4), 6-4.

14:53 CET - Nuno Borges cruised past Ilya Ivashka thanks to a 6-2, 6-3 triumph.

14:02 CET - Stan Wawrinka began his clash with Luca van Assche, the Swiss is currently up by 4-0 games in the first set.

13:54 CET - Emil Ruusuvuori got comfortably past Alexander Bublik after a 0-6, 3-6 victory. The Finnish is set to face American Frances Tiafoe in the next round.

12:13 CET - Another Monday means another round of action from the WTA and ATP tours. Play has started at the men's events in Barcelona, Banja Luka and Munich. On the women's side, the ladies have taken to the courts in Stuttgart as well.

6:16 CET - Andrey Rublev (25) made the most of Holger Rune's (19) nerves to win a see-saw Monte Carlo final 5-7 6-2 7-5 on Sunday, as the Russian's talent was finally rewarded with a Masters title.

The fifth seed stayed composed when it mattered to eventually run down his opponent and claim the most prestigious title of his career.

Rublev was 4-1 down in the decider but ground his way back into the contest to prevail on his second match point with an ace at a sun-drenched Monte Carlo Country Club.

It was Rublev's third attempt in a Masters final after failing at the final hurdle here in Monte Carlo and in Cincinnati in 2021.

"I don't know what to say, I'm just happy, I struggled so much to get this title," said Rublev.
