The clay-court tournaments continue to roll on. On the men's side, world number one Novak Djokovic (35) began his Banja Luka campaign while the WTA had big names hitting the clay all day in Stuttgart. 22:40 CET -  Ons Jabeur (28) came back from a torrid first set to defeat Jelena Ostapenko (25) 1-6, 7-5, 6-3 in Stuttgart. She joins Aryna Sabalenka (24) in the quarter-final stage.

20:13 CET - Jiri Lehecka (21) made a strong start to his clay court season, beating Grigor Dimitrov to reach the third round in Monte Carlo, and he's followed that up by beating Gael Monfils (36) in Banja Luka, 6-4, 6-3.

In Stuttgart meanwhile, world number two Aryna Sabalenka (24) has beaten Barbora Krejcikova (27) 6-3, 6-3.

18:47 CET - Indian Wells champion Elena Rybakina (25) is through in Stuttgart after beating Jule Niemeier (23) 7-5 6-3. She will be looking to make an impact on the clay courts after such a wonderful start to 2023.

18:33 CET - Novak Djokovic (35) is struggling with an injury at the moment, and that was evident in his opening match at Banja Luka. Despite losing the first set to Luca van Assche (18) though, the world number one advanced, winning 6-7, 6-3, 6-2

17:30 CET - Stefanos Tsitsipas (24) had no issues getting past Pedro Cachin (28) in Barcelona, with the second seed winning 6-4, 6-2

16:22 CET - Coco Gauff (19), the fifth seed in Stuttgart, has come through a tough test to reach the next round, beating world number 13 Veronika Kudermetova (25) 6-2, 4-6, 7-6.

15:25 CET - Cameron Norrie (27) is also through in Spain after destroying Pavel Kotov (24) 6-1 6-2.

14:49 CET - There have been a number of other winners in Barcelona so far today. Grigor Dimitrov (31), Denis Shapovalov (24) and Yoshihito Nishioka (27) all won comfortably in straight sets, while Alex de Minaur (24) utterly dismantled Alexander Shevchenko (22) 6-0 6-1.

14:25 CET - Jannik Sinner (21) has eased through in Barcelona, defeating Diego Schwartzman (30) 6-2 6-4.
