It's the day of the women's semi-finals at Wimbledon with Donna Vekic taking on Jasmine Paolini before Elena Ryabkina faces Barbora Krejcikova.

20:17 CET - That is a staggering win for Barbora Krejcikova (28)! From a set down, the former French Open champion battled back to stun the heavy favourite to win the title, 2022 champion Elena Rybakina (25), 3-6, 6-3, 6-4

The Czech started the match slowly, with Rybakina completely overpowering her. However, Rybakina's game fell apart in the second set, and Krejcikova upped her level to play some great tennis and reach her first Wimbledon final. After a tough season, this will be a huge boost.

It will be a really tough loss for Rybakina to accept, however, after the draw had opened up for her. But she has failed to take advantage, and will be bitterly disappointed with her performance today. A massive missed opportunity.

19:40 CET - We have another deciding set on our hands! Krejcikova has won the second 6-3 to take us the distance. What a day this has been!

18:51 CET - The first set of the second semi-final has gone the way of Elena Rybakina (25) has won it 6-3 against Barbora Krejcikova (28) in 46 minutes.

17:32 CET - What an insane match! Jasmine Paolini (28) has beaten Donna Vekic (28) in an absolutely thrilling encounter here, moving into the final at Wimbledon after a 2-6, 6-4, 7-6(8) win.

Vekic looked to be in control early on, but Paolini's resilience was on show, as she battled back to take the victory in what was the longest-ever women's semi-final at Wimbledon.

She will now compete in the Wimbledon final, weeks after reaching the final at Roland Garros. She is the first woman to do this since Serena Williams in 2016. An amazing year for the Italian.

Heartbreak for Vekic though, who will be frustrated that she failed to take a number of huge chances throughout the clash. She could have won the match in straight sets if she was a bit more clinical.

She was in tears towards the end of the final set, as the pressure of being so close to reaching her first Grand Slam final caught up to her. But regardless, she should be proud. It has been an amazing two weeks for her.

16:13 CET - One set all! Vekic continued to play some excellent tennis in that second set but Paolini hung in there and stole it with a late break. Into a decider we go!

15:14 CET - What a set of tennis from Donna Vekic (28)! The Croat, in her first Slam semi-final, overwhelmed Jasmine Paolini (28), taking the first set 6-2 in emphatic fashion. Her big-hitting was just too much for the Italian.

12:20 CET - With just over an hour to go until the first semi-final, Paolini has reason to be the more confident of the two.

The Italian player has spent just over two hours less on court than Vekic in the last few weeks, won a Grand Slam semi-final last month while her opponent has never played in one, and she leads the head-to-head between the two.
