22:17 CET - American Danielle Collins (29) has been knocked out of the women's draw at the BNP Paribas Open by Hungary's Dalma Galfi (24). Their match finished 6-4, 6-4.

22:08 CET -  Mackenzie McDonald (27) has cruised past Filip Krajinovic (31) 6-3, 6-0 at Indian Wells. Meanwhile, Swiss veteran Stan Wawrinka (37) had a little harder time in his first-round match against Aleksandar Vukic (26), yet prevailed 6-4, 1-6, 6-1.

16:30 CET - There are still plenty of first-round matches to come from the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells later today in the evening and overnight.

On the men's side of things, Andy Murray (35), Richard Gasquet (36) and Dominic Thiem (29) will be amongst those taking the court later. As for the women, Emma Raducanu (20), Sloane Stephens (29) and Katerina Siniakova (26) will all be taking to the Cali courts.

Yesterday's highlight comes from Czech rising star Linda Fruhvirtova (17). She came back to beat Mayar Sherif (26) 0-6, 6-2, 6-3.

11:32 CET -  In the women's draw, Shelby Rogers (30) won an all-American battle with Katie Volynets (21) 6-4 4-6 6-1.

"She definitely has a very bright future and unfortunately only one of us could win today," Rogers said.

"She's one of the nicest girls I've met on tour and I look forward to seeing her more."

Next up for Rogers is a second-round meeting with seventh-seeded Maria Sakkari (27), who reached the Indian Wells final last year. Rogers holds a 3-0 lead in her career meeting with the Greek.

11:22 CET - There was plenty of action from Indian Wells overnight and there will be plenty more to come later today. In an all-American first-round matchup, Brandon Nakashima (21) upset veteran John Isner (37) 7-6, 6-3.

"Coming to this tournament, it's always super exciting for me," said Nakashima, who made his tour debut at Indian Wells in 2018.

"Growing up here, close by in San Diego, it's one of the tournaments where I grew up coming here as a little kid, watching all the top pros.

"So to be able to play here now against another top American on the centre court here, is a super special feeling."

Nakashima will have his work cut out for him when he faces world number six Daniil Medvedev (27) next, who has won three consecutive titles and is on a 14-match winning streak.
