15:55 CET - That's a wrap on a day of finals that undoubtedly delivered!
Davidovich Fokina, Jodar, Chwalinska and Kartel treated us to two tight three-set battles that featured some top tennis and could've gone either way, with the margins extremely fine.
The battles ended with Davidovich Fokina and Chwalinska claiming the biggest titles of their career by far, becoming 1000-level champions. It's a day that will live long in the memory for them, and many others.
Thanks for joining us here, and our trackers will be back in a few weeks for the Paris Masters. See you then!
15:30 CET - Maja Chwalinska is the Wuhan champion! The Polish player has completed the comeback to seal the title with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 win over Sonny Kartal.
The final set wasn't quite as one-sided as the scoreline suggests, with Kartal forcing three break points and facing only two; crucially, though, Chwalinska saved two of the three on her serve, and converted both on Kartal's.
Her reward is the biggest title of her career by a long way, with it being her first on the WTA Tour. Her struggles after the French Open made people wonder whether her run to the final there was a flash in the pan, but she's now proved that wasn't the case.

14:45 CET - Once again on this Finals Sunday, we are heading to a deciding set after an impressive response from Maja Chwalinska to take the second.
This decider promises to be box-office, as there is so little between these two. Kartal will need to up her level again if she is to get the job done, however.
13:30 CET - Sonay Kartal is one set away from a remarkable WTA 1000 title! The British world 170th is in the form of her life in Wuhan and dominated Maja Chwalinska in the opening set as she broke the Pole's serve twice and played some brilliant tennis.
13:15 CET - Alejandro Davidovich Fokina has completed the comeback from a set down to win the Shanghai Masters for his maiden ATP 1000 title!
Where Rafael Jodar looked to be tiring in the final set, Davidovich Fokina continued to play at the level that saw him edge the second set.
In the end, the better player on the day won, but Jodar more than played his part in a thrilling final, one of the best of the year, and this is just the start of exciting things to come for a talented young player.
Davidovich Fokina, meanwhile, looks to have harnessed the flair and fire he plays with at last and is finally living up to his potential.

12:00 CET - The other big final today comes from Wuhan and we are just 30 minutes away from the biggest match in Sonay Kartal's career so far, as the British player faces Poland's Maja Chwalinska in the final.
Both players have pulled off major upsets en route to the final. Chwalinska stunned her fellow countrywoman Iga Swiatek in the semi-finals, while Kartal beat Jasmine Paolini and Elena Svitolina on the road to this stage.

11:25 CET - It is the young Rafael Jodar who has taken the first set in Shanghai in just 27 minutes and is now one step away from an astonishing ATP 1000 title. Jodar lost just one game en route to winning the opening set, outclassing and overpowering his more experienced fellow countryman.
08:30 CET - Good morning and welcome to Finals Sunday! Kicking us off at 10:30 CET is an all-Spanish final at the Shanghai Masters between rising star Rafael Jodar and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, who stunned world number one Alexander Zverev in the semi-finals.
While Davidovich Fokina's victory might have been more unexpected, Jodar is playing some fantastic tennis too, and the young Spaniard pulled off a shock win of his own against in-form Daniil Medvedev. This promises to be a rollercoaster final because it is so hard to call between the two players - it can go either way.
