Fiorentina striker Luka Jovic (24) has rediscovered the goalscoring instinct that made Real Madrid pay €50 million for him. But he is not so good on the ball, but in front of the microphone he does not seem so good and has got into trouble with Fiorentina for talking about his current team as a springboard to "return to a big club".

This summer, after several attempts, Real Madrid found a definitive exit for Luka Jovic, one of the most disappointing signings in recent years. The Serbian found himself with the best Benzema ever, but he was never up to the mark and could never be his real competition.

Not even a loan spell at his previous club, Eintracht, was enough to bring him back to his best. With no place at Madrid and no goals to show on the market, it was Fiorentina who took a gamble on him. The Viola side did not pay a transfer fee in exchange for a high percentage of the fee when he was sold.

Jovic is well aware that he is just passing through the Tuscan club. But saying it out loud is not something that will go down too well in Florence. "I decided to come to Fiorentina despite having offers from bigger clubs and making a financial sacrifice to come here. Fiorentina is a good springboard to return to a big club again," the striker confessed to the Serbian portal ATV.

In this definition of a big club, then, the Balkan does not include Fiore, although Real Madrid does. The player admitted that, despite having played practically nothing, he is "honoured to have been part of the biggest club in the world, but I think I left for Madrid too soon. It was a great experience for me.''

Now, Jovic, in his best form in a long time, hopes to continue scoring goals for Serbia at the World Cup in Qatar.
