Belgium and Croatia face off in a vital contest with both sides looking to secure qualification for the round of 16 of the World Cup. The Belgians have been plagued with rumours of turmoil and unrest within their dressing room, but will now aim to quieten a lot of that noise. Only a victory will do for them. Croatia on the other hand, need a draw to secure their spot in the knockout stages.

That's the end of our coverage here. Morocco and Croatia join the others in qualifying for the knockouts. What a job the African side have done. They've been brilliant this tournament.

Check out our match report from this game, and we will see you later tonight, with the fate of Spain and Germany set to be revealed.

Croatia 0-0 Belgium

After a really tepid first half, that second half was far more eventful. And really, Belgium had just so many chances in that 45 minutes, all for Lukaku. What a horrible day it was for him. Clearly he wasn't fully fit, but he should have put away one of those four clear cut chances he had. He was devasted after the game. But throughout the tournament, Belgium didn't perform well enough, and ultimately, that's why they're out. Doku was brilliant when he came on, so it's quite surprising that he didn't get more minutes throughout the competition. Some of Martinez's decisions have been quite strange.

Croatia weren't at their best today, but they got the job done. They were solid throughout the 90 minutes, with Modric typically brilliant. Gvardiol by the way, was utterly brilliant. What a centre half he is.

All in all, following Morocco's victory over Canada, they top the group, with Croatia in second. Belgium are out.

Second Half

94': AND THAT IS GAME OVER! THE FULL TIME WHISTLE BLOWS. Belgium are out. Romelu Lukaku is in tears down there. He knows that he absolutely had to score one of those chances he had. Croatia hang on and are through. What tension in that second half.

93': Gvardiol, that is a joke. The ball was about to fall to Lukaku and he would have had just the goalkeeper to beat, but the defender puts in the most brilliant challenge. He's been sensational today.

90': LUKAKU NO WAY! HE'S MISSED ANOTHER ONE. WHAT IS GOING ON? BRILLIANT WORK FROM DAKA, THORGAN HAZARD PUT IN A CROSS STRAIGHT TO LUKAKU AFTER LOVREN MISSED THE BALL. THE GOAL IS GAPING, WIDE OPEN, AND HE LETS THE BALL HIT HOME AND THE GOALKEEPER CLAIMS IT. WHAT IS HE DOING??

87': Yep, Lukaku is not having the best return to the Belgium side. A ball is fizzed in, and it just hits him right in front of goal, and trickles past the post. On another day, that could have gone in. Crazy.

Ok, Eden Hazard is on for Belgium now. Meunier off. 1 minute left of normal time.

82': Lots of spaces opening up now for Croatia, and with a better final ball than what they're producing, they're going to create a really big chance. Belgium throwing more men forward, but besides that little ten minute burst they had, they're not offering too much against a strong Croatian defence.

72': Two Belgium subs, no sign of Eden Hazard yet. Youri Tielemans and Jeremy Doku are on for Dendoncker and Carrasco.

69': The pace of this half has definitely upped a lot. Both teams playing with increasing urgency.

64': Croatia are being put under some pressure, and they're replying with two changes. Kramaric and Livaja off, Bruno Petkovic and Mario Pasalic on.

63': Oh. My. Word. He's done it again. He's missed another open goal. De Bruyne put in a good cross, the goalkeeper completely missed the ball, and Lukaku nodded over with the goal gaping. Perhaps he didn't expect the ball to get to him, but still. Sitter.

The replays show that the ball had gone out before De Bruyne had put the cross in, so wouldn't have counted anyway.

61': HOWWW HAS LUKAKU MISSED?! DE BRUYNE PLAYED A LOVELY BALL TO CARRASCO, HIS SHOT AT CLOSE RANGE WAS BLOCKED, AND THE BALL FELL TO LUKAKU WITH THE GOAL PRACTICALLY OPEN, BUT HE SMACKED THE POST. THAT'S A BAD MISS.

58': Thorgan Hazard - not Eden - is coming on. Trossard off.

54': Two good saves again from Courtois. Croatia playing some nice football early on this half. First Brozovic, then Modric struck from range only for the Belgian to keep them out.

50': Neat football from Croatia, and Kovacic's bending shot towards the near post is saved well by Courtois.

47': Lukaku uses his physique to outmuscle a defender and leap for a header, but straight at the keeper. He will cause Croatia more problems.

45': The second half begins, and Belgium bring on the big man, Romelu Lukaku. For emergencies only. Mertens is the one to come off.

Half Time

Really tough watch. Barely any chances. No shots on target. The only thing of note was the penalty that was overturned. Lovren was so, so marginally offside, and VAR never ceases to amaze with decisions like that. I don't even get how they decided he was offside. But oh well. The contact was extremely minimal anyway, so perhaps justice was done.

Morocco lead 2-1 against Canada, so as it stands, the African side are top, with Croatia in second. Hoping for a better second half.

First Half

49': Well that's half time. A dire affair, but clearly some tension in the air. Both sides terrified of conceding. We will have more in a bit.

42': Canada have pulled a goal back against Morocco. Can they mount a comeback? 2-1.

29': Both sides are clearly tense here. Neither side is really imposing themselves on the contest.

24': Morocco are 2-0 up now against Canada. They look to be powering on through into the knockout stages.

18': PENALTY CROATIA! Carrasco seems to trip a Croatian attacker, and it looks like Modric is to take. But wait, the referee has been sent to the VAR monitor. It's been given offside by a fraction. Why did the referee Anthony Taylor go over to the monitor to take a look at an offside position? Ah, to determine if the player attempted to play the ball. Okay, penalty overturned. Off we go again.

13': Ahhhhh Mertens, you have to be doing better. De Bruyne drove through the Croatian midfield brilliantly, and played a gorgeous ball through to Mertens. With the goal at his mercy, he leaned back on his shot and put it well over the bar. Huge chance.

11': Mertens puts a ball in after running past the Croatian defence, but Carrasco can't do anything with it. Perhaps he should have gambled and attempted to get onto the end of it quicker.

5': Morocco are ahead against Canada. Doesn't change anything for Belgium really, they still need to win, but that will only put them into second as it stands. Croatia are still heading through, but now they absolutely have to get a result here, and can't rely on the other game.

0': We are off. Croatia get the game started.

AND CROATIA NEARLY SCORE. Within ten seconds, Perisic smashes an effort just wide of the post after a brilliant pass from Modric. Nearly a sensational start.

RIght then, it's nearly time. Let's hope for a cracker.

Team News

Roberto Martinez has ringed the changes for Belgium after their shocking performance against Morocco, with Eden Hazard being dropped from the side. Kevin De Bruyne does start, despite the noise around him.

His brother Thorgan, Amadou Onana, Michy Batshuayi are also out of the side, with Leandro Trossard, Leander Dendoncker, Dries Mertens and Yannick Carrasco all coming in.

It's much simpler for Croatia. They make no changes their side.

Croatia - Livakovic; Juranovic, Lovren, Gvardiol, Sosa; Brozovic, Modric, Kovacic; Kramaric, Livaja, Perisic

Belgium - Courtois; Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Dendoncker; Castagne, De Bruyne, Witsel, Meunier; Carrasco, Mertens, Trossard
