Oleksandr Usyk's (35) manager has revealed the super-fight is being pencilled in for the first quarter of 2023 where the Ukrainian will take on Tyson Fury (34).

The Ukrainian heavyweight king's manager, Egis Klimas, revealed in an interview that he expects the fight to be confirmed soon for the end of February or early March.

No indication has been made yet regarding the venue, although both Wembley Stadium and a lucrative option in Saudi Arabia remain the most likely destinations.

Speaking to iD Boxing, Usyk's manager claimed the bout will likely take place between February 18 and March 4, 2023.

"Oleksandr said, 'Let's unify titles. Tyson, let's fight,' Klimas explained.

"Tyson came back and he wants to dictate. Tyson said 'the end of the year.' Oleksandr's position was he's been preparing for that fight with Joshua for a long time and needed to recover and go back to Ukraine.

"In that case, let's do the fight in February.

"On our side, everything is done. We agreed with the promoters, let’s put it together let's move forward. Right now it's Tyson Fury's decision."

Fury and Usyk stared off shortly after the Gypsy King's emphatic victory over Derek Chisora (38) at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on December 3, where the Mancunian kept a hold of his WBC crown.

Usyk retained his WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO titles after defeating Anthony Joshua (33) for the second time with a split decision victory in Saudia Arabia back in August.

The potential heavyweight unification is expected to draw one of the biggest audiences in boxing history and will crown the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis more than 20 years ago.
